GROUP C - FULL-BODIED TITANS

Liga Privada T52 vs Diesel Vintage Series in Match M15

Match M15 placed Liga Privada T52 one victory from a perfect Group C record after wins over AJ Fernandez Bellas Artes and Herrera Esteli Habano. Diesel Vintage Series entered as a muscular aged-tobacco blend looking to stop the division leader.

The matchup paired two dark Nicaraguan cigars. Liga used a full-strength 6 x 52 Toro under Connecticut River Valley Stalk-Cut and Stalk-Cured Habano. Diesel used a shorter 5 x 56 Robusto Gordo with Mexican San Andres Negro and Jalapa fillers aged five to eight years.

Diesel delivered six steady 4.5 scores, but Liga left little room to compete. Burn tied; T52 scored 5.0 in construction, draw, complexity, balance and finish. Five half-point gains produced a 2.5-point victory and secured first place in Full-Bodied Titans.

T52 began with dense earth, cedar, cocoa and pepper. Black pepper, dark earth and espresso moved through thick, oily smoke. Dark chocolate, leather, charred oak and controlled sweetness deepened the center before espresso, pepper and mineral-rich earth created an exceptionally long finish.

Diesel opened with earth, cocoa, pepper and aged wood. Dark earth, espresso and bittersweet chocolate established a robust opening. Leather, oak, roasted nuts and brief dark-fruit sweetness followed before coffee, char and black pepper produced a strong, dry close.

Both cigars occupied a dark register. Diesel's aged Jalapa fillers emphasized direct strength, wood and roasted depth. T52 layered similar earth, cocoa, coffee and pepper with more sweetness, texture and transition, creating the broader experience.

Where the Matchup Was Decided

Burn produced the only 4.5 tie. Diesel's occasional need for attention still received the same category score as Liga, giving the Robusto Gordo one place where it matched the eventual group winner.

Liga Privada won five categories; one category tied.

T52 earned perfect 5.0 scores for construction and draw against Diesel's 4.5 marks. Strong ash, effortless resistance and heavy smoke created a one-point technical lead over Diesel's free draw and substantial output.

Complexity, balance and finish followed the same 5.0-to-4.5 pattern. Diesel delivered bold progression and satisfying force. T52 integrated its dark flavors more completely, developed greater range and carried them through a longer conclusion.

The arithmetic mirrored Liga's M14 victory: five half-point advantages and one tie. T52 won 29.5 to 27.0 without losing a category; Diesel's uniform scorecard showed consistent premium quality against exceptional competition.

Official Result: Liga Privada T52 Wins Match M15

Liga Privada T52 defeated Diesel Vintage Series to complete a perfect 3-0 Group C stage. Wins over Bellas Artes, Herrera Esteli and Diesel secured first place and sent T52 into the Top 16 as the Full-Bodied Titans champion.

Diesel fell to 0-1, then lost to Bellas Artes and Herrera Esteli to finish fourth at 0-3. The record reflected a difficult division more than a poor cigar: every Ashology category remained at 4.5, and the Vintage Series retained its Premium tournament classification.

T52 later defeated Crowned Heads Mil Dias and Oliva Serie V Melanio Figurado, reached the Final Smokeout and finished third overall with a 6-1 record. M15 completed the perfect foundation for that run and confirmed Liga as Group C's standard.

Final Ashology Verdict

Diesel Vintage Series delivered the profile promised by its blend: aged Jalapa tobacco, Mexican San Andres darkness and a direct sequence of cocoa, espresso, leather, oak, roasted nuts, char and pepper. Six 4.5 scores made it dependable, bold and well rounded, even without a tournament win.

Liga Privada T52 separated itself by reaching the next scoring level in five categories. Its construction and draw supported richer smoke; its complexity and balance organized a deeper flavor range; and its finish preserved power with exceptional length and composure.

M15 closed Liga's group schedule with the same discipline that defined the eventual podium run. Diesel supplied muscle and aged-tobacco character. T52 supplied those qualities plus the precision, integration and finish required to turn a strong matchup into a decisive group-clinching victory.
